Hot Pink Summer

With Summer drawing to a close, I am remembering the beautiful weddings of this quickly passing season.

Bright colors, citrus fruit, tropical blooms...

I love the mix of bridesmaids in varied citrus hues.

Why not loosen up the groomsmen's costumes by allowing them to choose a favorite accent color?

A simple, strapless ballgown is perfect for the warm nights. Then add an unexpected pop of color to your pure white dress!
Place tropical fruits in the rooms of your out-of-town guests for a sneak preview of what's to come. The bowl is their gift to take home.

Try a new take on a traditional tiered wedding cake with citrus accents.

Spring Green

I am loving a Spring Green theme for weddings right now!

This picture from the new Martha Stewart Weddings started me thinking...

All bridesmaids will appreciate choosing a dress style that is most flattering to them and they will be more likely to wear it again - with memories of your important day attached to this garment!

If green is your favorite color, why stop with only choosing green as a color?

Make your wedding 'green all over' by using sustainable and natural product throughout. Serve an organic buffet featuring the fantastically fresh produce of the season such as...

Artichokes and Asparagus

Offer your guests a green gift as their favor. Everyone can use a sprightly fresh basil plant for their windowsill or garden.

When it is time to leave, offer guests lavender buds for your wedding toss. They have an amazing scent and are bio-degradable, of course!

Spring is awakening

Although we are still in February, it seems that Old Man Winter is loosening his grip. So, I feel the urge to write about one of my favorite seasons, Spring.

The Springtime wedding with fanciful Easter colors, fresh buds and birds nests...
My inspiration began with a birds nest, symbolizing new beginnings.

Something blue, jasper blue.
A Wedgewood inspired cake.

For your friends...
Robin's egg blue dresses with candy colored jewels.

Bring it all together by offering a traditional favor such as Jordan almonds in Tiffany blue boxes.
